Your Data, Your Peace of Mind: How Action Team Secures Your Real Estate Transaction

In the digital age, buying or selling a home involves sharing sensitive financial and personal information. At Action Team, we believe that data privacy is just as important as the physical keys to your home. We go beyond standard practices to ensure your information remains secure.

Here is how we protect you:

🔒 Device & Cloud Security

We back up all local files to a secure cloud service where data is encrypted both in transit and while stored. If a device is ever lost or stolen, we can perform an immediate "remote wipe," deleting your information from that device instantly so it never falls into the wrong hands.

📱 Secure Communications

Email: Our email domains are protected by Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to prevent unauthorized access to our conversations.

Text Messages: We employ dual-layer 2FA on our cell accounts and lock SIM cards both on the device and with the carrier to prevent "SIM swapping" attacks.

Best Practices: Not all security is created equal. When available, we prioritize the strongest methods: FIDO Security Keys/Passkeys > Authenticator Apps > SMS codes.

🛡️ Financial Document Safety

Smart Redaction: If you share financial documents, we redact account numbers before forwarding them. Crucially, we verify that your redactions are "burned" (permanently flattened) into the file, ensuring they cannot be digitally peeled away to reveal the original data.

Network Security: We utilize the latest Wi-Fi security protocols and strictly avoid using public Wi-Fi networks when accessing your private data.

⚠️ The Most Critical Step: Wire Fraud Protection

Cyber criminals often target real estate transactions to intercept wiring instructions. This is the most important rule:

If you are wiring funds to escrow, NEVER rely solely on email. Always call the title/escrow company directly using a known, verified phone number to confirm the account details BEFORE clicking "send."

Security is a partnership. If you have questions about our practices, or if you have a security tip you'd like to share with our team, we'd love to hear from you! In a close-knit community like Kona, protecting client privacy isn't just best practice—it's how we build lasting relationships.
